Not even Dame Helen Mirren is immune to the charms of this social media platform.
With a long, extravagant list of film blockbusters in her résumé, garnering her the status of one of the most top-billed actresses in Hollywood, this award-winning actress is about to wow audiences once again in Amazon Prime’s ‘Solos’, an anthology streaming television series created by David Weil. The series features fellow Hollywood stars such as Anna Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, and the new ‘Captain America’ Anthony Mackie.
In her episode of ‘Solos’, Mirren plays the titular character Peg who ventures off into space on a mysterious trip to reach the far end of the universe. While she does so, she spends some time reminiscing about her childhood days on — you guessed it — TikTok!
When asked if Mirren herself is among the millions who have been spending some time on the social media platform to entertain herself during quarantine, the actress answered,
“A little bit, yes.”

She elaborated by saying,
“I have to say, one of the great pleasures of the pandemic has been the inventiveness and the wit and the creativity of what people have been doing on the internet,” she said. “I mean TikTok is absolutely part of that, but many other things as well. I mean just wonderful, inventiveness and wit and humour and poetry.”

Always keeping up with the rapid growth of digitisation, the actress also joined Instagram back in 2016 and not only that — she’s got game when it comes to selfies.
