Oh no. This is upsetting. After Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, now Halsey has reportedly filed and obtained a temporary restraining order against a fan. The overly obsessive fan seemingly harassed both Halsey and her neighbor, and Page Six revealed that Halsey was granted the order on October 23, after hiring a private investigator on October 2.
In court documents obtained by the outlet—Halsey or her real name, Ashley Nicolette Frangipane—reportedly said she was “fearful of life.” The documents also included accounts from the singer’s private investigator, who claims her neighbor said “a young gentleman has stopped at his residence looking for [her], under the impression that she lives at his residence. Additionally, the same male has stopped by 4 or 5 times since September this year and has called LAPD a few times.”
The neighbor also allegedly said this man “showed up at his residence with a guitar, demanding to speak with Ms. Ashley Frangipane,” proceeded to smash the guitar on the ground, and then left a notebook for her. Gosh!
Under the temporary restraining order, the fan will have to stay 200 yards away from Halsey and can’t contact her. The order expires November 16, when both Halsey and the fan are scheduled to appear in court.
This sounds so stressful and scary, so here’s to hoping the situation is resolved soon.
