It’s been over a year since the battle against COVID-19 first started and there are still people who do not believe that it’s an actual pandemic that affects everyone – the young, the old, the strong, the weak. Naysayers, however, are convinced that it’s okay to go about life as it was before 2020 – without a mask and physical distancing; it really is not. The virus is without bias. Case in point: ‘Harry Potter’ star Jessie Cave’s 3-month-old baby. The actress who played Ron Weasley’s girlfriend ‘Lavender Brown’ in ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ recently revealed on her personal Instagram account that her baby had tested positive for COVID-19.

Cave initially shared the news on her social media a few days ago. Posting a picture of her baby in the hospital as she watched UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on a laptop screen, she revealed:
“Poor baby is covid positive. He’s okay and doing well but they are being vigilant and cautious, thankfully. This strain is super powerful and contagious so I do hope that people take extra care in the coming weeks. Really didn’t want this to be the start of my families new year. […] please wish baby a speedy recovery. “
Prayers, well wishes and support poured in for Cave following her post, with the member of the Wizarding World having amassed a strong following of over 165,000 on Instagram. The news quickly went viral and now, thankfully, she’s got some good news! Her baby has returned home from the hospital.

In her update, she confirmed:
“Baby is home now. Thank you for all the well wishes and messages of support. Be safe everybody ❤️ ”
The 33-year-old gave birth to her son Tenn in October, a mere 40 minutes after the water broke. She detailed how the delivery of her third child with partner Alfie Brown was a “very different experience”, with his “extreme” arrival leaving him in the neonatal unit (an intensive care unit specializing in the care of ill or premature newborn infants). Cave has since put her acting and appearance activities on hold, with her last appearance being on the UK TV quiz show, ‘Pointless’ (celebrity edition). On top of her poignant appearance in the Harry Potter film series, Cave has had roles films such as ‘Inkheart’, ‘Pride’, and ‘Black Mirror’.
