“He was going to kill me,” Police Investigate Woman’s Claims Against Armie Hammer

Armie Hammer is yet again in the headlines for yet another sexual abuse allegations, this time the actor has been accused of “violently” raping a woman in 2017.

The now 24-year-old woman simply known as Effie has come forward to allege the Rebecca star forced himself on her during one of their get-togethers in April 2017, where she alleged he “committed acts of violence” against her which she “did not consent” to.

For those who are unaware of who the woman is, not much has been revealed about her, however, it was revealed Effie and Hammer had an on-and-off four-year relationship from 2016 to 2020. During a recent press conference with her attorney Gloria Allred, Effie alleged: “On April 24, 2017, Armie Hammer violently raped me for over four hours in Los Angeles. During which he repeatedly slapped my head against a wall bruising my face. He also committed other acts of violence against me to which I did not consent.”

Effie was in tears when explaining the painful ordeal, She was 20 at the time and also claimed the actor “beat my feet with a crop so they would hurt whenever I took a step for the next week.”

“During those four hours, I tried to get away, but he wouldn’t let me. I thought that he was going to kill me. He then left with no concern for my well-being. I was completely in shock, and I couldn’t believe that someone I loved did that to me.”

Following the press conference, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that they had already launched a sexual assault investigation into Hammer. An LAPD spokesperson noted to The Daily Beast the investigation was initiated on Feb. 3.
