But hold, there’s a twist in that. Timothée starred in a Cadillac commercial as “Edgar Scissorhands” — AKA the son (he has a son???) of the famed Edward Scissorhands. The ad also stars Winona Ryder, who is once again portraying Kim Boggs, the role she played in the iconic 1990 Tim Burton film.

Throughout the 90-second spot, Timothée is decked out in full Scissorhands-attire, and we see him navigate a day in the life of Edgar. Of course, with blades as hands (not to mention a magnetic body suit), certain things prove to be a bit of a challenge, like riding public transit, playing football, or making a sandwich. But everything changes for Edgar when his mom presents him with an electric Cadillac LYRIQ car that boasts—yep—hands-free features.

Naturally, because everything Timothée touches turns to internet gold, the online world is already buzzing about the Little Women star in the Scissorhands suit. “WHY IS HE STILL SO ATTRACTIVE THO EVEN WHEN HE’S DRESSED LIKE THAT?” one fan mused in the YouTube comments.
And as for the OG Kim Boggs,— Winona Ryder told Variety that she was excited to step into Kim’s shoes thirty years later, and she “loved the idea of working with Timothée.” There you have it! Hollywood, can we make that happen?
