The girl SPEAKS growth.
Billie Eilish is about to release her new album, Happier Than Ever and she’s completely revamped the way she looks to hyped up the launch.
The 19 year old singer has moved on from her trademark neon green highlights and usual oversized clothes for a fresh blonde look (first revealed in mid-March) on her Instagram.

“I feel more like a woman, somehow,” she told Vogue of her hair. As for her clothes, she went the way of a “classic, old-timey pin-up” look, the publication writes. “I’ve literally never done anything in this realm at all,” she said, adding, “Y’know, besides when I’m alone and s***.”
Billie’s fans, followers and even haters have been used to her dressing up in baggy outfits that don’t expose her body figure. It’s something that has stuck on her ongoing career; being celebrated for her body positivity but dragged down anytime she wears anything even slightly revealing.
“Don’t make me not a role model because you’re turned on by me,” she said, also citing her body as the reason she was “depressed” when she was a kid.
Billie revisits body positivity in the interview, claiming it’s never been the reason for her former choices in style.
“‘If you’re about body positivity, why would you wear a corset? Why wouldn’t you show your actual body?’” she asked, anticipating the reaction to her Vogue shoot. “My thing is that I can do whatever I want.”
“It’s all about what makes you feel good. If you want to get surgery, go get surgery. If you want to wear a dress that somebody thinks that you look too big wearing, f*** it—if you feel like you look good, you look good.”

She continued to stress her point, “Suddenly you’re a hypocrite if you want to show your skin, and you’re easy[…] Let’s turn it around and be empowered in that. Showing your body and showing your skin—or not—should not take any respect away from you.”
The lesson to take from Billie Eilish is that we should all be proud and respect each other’s body, despite how we dress. The only judgement one should make is from the content of a person’s character. That is what defines growth. And surely, Billie has grown.
