Given his ongoing relationship with supermodel Gigi Hadid, it should come as no surprise that plenty of fans have begun assigning meaning to many of the lyrics, concluding that Zayn is likely singing about her.

One song in particular has caught the attention of thousands of his fans—and it just might hint toward wedding bells in Zigi’s future. The song in question is titled “When Love’s Around,” and it’s the fifth track on Zayn’s new record, featuring Syd. After listening to just a few lyrics, it’s clear that the song is about real, true, everlasting love, and in the second verse, Zayn sings a line that could be taken as a hint regarding what’s to come for him and Gigi: “Never feel that type of way / But I need you in my life / Yeah, you could be my wifе for real.”
Fans quickly zeroed in on the word “wife,” thinking that it could mean that Zayn might be planning to propose to Gigi in the near future—or that they’re already engaged. After all, the two have been a couple for years, and even have a baby daughter together, who was born in September 2020.

This isn’t the first time the model and musician have sparked engagement rumors in past weeks. Gigi was recently spotted donning a ring on her left finger, leaving some fans wondering if the major milestone has already happened. Of course, there’s no way to know for sure unless Gigi and Zayn confirm the theories—but they’re also entitled to their privacy. Either way, they’ve had a lot to celebrate!!!!
