You see, some of us pick (harmless) fights with our siblings just for the fun of it! You tease each other, you poke fun at each other, then bicker and wrestle until your mother calls for a time-out. But in UI’s case, it doesn’t seem to be that simple! Hmm…
So what happened was, the star recently uploaded a video on her YouTube channel titled ‘This Is For You, Dad’ where she is seen baking a cake and preparing a gift for her father.
The thing is, in the after-credits scene at the end of the video, she accidentally let it slip that her brother was doing well in the military!
“Thanks to everyone’s interest, my brother is doing well in the military.”
During tvN’s ‘You Quiz On The Block’, she revealed that her brother was pretty upset about her disclosing that bit of information, to the point where he has been ignoring her.
“He replies to my family and had called all of them but he doesn’t reply to or call me.”

She also revealed that her brother preferred to keep the fact that she is his older sister a secret, and only lets a few friends in on this detail.
“My brother kept it a secret that I was his sister for the longest time. Aside from 4-5 close people, he didn’t tell anyone.”
In a bid to make things right, IU ended the video by making a public apology to her sibling.
“I’m sorry about what happened. I’m sorry for talking about you going to the military on You Quiz On The Block. Everyone is recognizing who he is now.”
