An ex-member of the rock band Lefthanded, Datuk Nashruddin Elias, or better known as Nash, recently met with an unfortunate accident at a highway. The vehicle skidded and spun out of control before crashing into a retention wall on the left side of the expressway.

“Due to the crash, the victim sustained wounds on the face and experienced chest pain, while his driver aged 33 only had minor cuts,” stated officials.

Nash’s son, Shameer Nasha Jaluddin, delivered good news to the public and said that his father is in a stable condition and only had a few stitches. The 26-year-old went on to say that although his father was in shock, his condition is good, meaning that fans had nothing to worry about.

Datuk Nash began his journey in the entertainment industry with Lefthanded in 1976. They released four albums together before he removed himself from the band in 1990.

His solo career brought him the success of being hailed as the winner of ‘Juara Lagu 1992’ for his song titled ‘Pada Syurga di Wajahmu’ from his first solo album, ‘Nash’. He proceeded to release another solo album two years later before reuniting with the band once again. Datuk Nash is also a force to be reckoned with in the filming industry. He started as a guest star in the film ‘Rozana Cinta ‘87’ followed by a role in the 1991 film ‘Memori’.

We wish the veteran artist a speedy recovery!
