We’re sweating over here. On Friday, just days after her 28th birthday, Miley Cyrus released her seventh studio album, Plastic Hearts. And the first track on the album, “WTF Do I Know,” is pretty clearly about her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth.

The song starts off with “I’m not tryna have another conversation /Probably not gon’ wanna play me on your station / Pourin’ out a bottle full of my frustration” and likely refer to what Miley has been feeling since her split from the Australian hunk last August.
She goes on to sing: “I’m completely naked but I’m making it fashion / Maybe gettin’ married just to cause a distraction / Here to tell you somethin’ that you don’t know,” which seems to point to how open she’s been since the breakup. She also seems to address the things she said about marriage in 2018, when the two tied the knot.
The pre-chorus and chorus are: “Am I wrong that I moved on and I /And I don’t even miss you? / Thought that it’d be you until I die / But I let go / What the f**k do I know? I’m alone
‘Cause I couldn’t be somebody’s hero / You want an apology? Not from me / I had to leave you in your own misery / So tell me, baby, am I wrong that I moved on? / And I, and I don’t even miss you / Thought that it’d be you until I die / But I let go, what the f**k do I know?”
These last lyrics blatantly point to reports about Liam and Miley’s respective feelings in the year following their divorce.

“When you experience what we experienced together with someone, it is like glue,” she told Vanity Fair then. “You’re the only two people in the world who can understand. We’ve worn rings forever, and I definitely didn’t need it in any way. It actually is kind of out of character for me.”
“I had a very public, very big breakup that was a 10-year span of a relationship,” she said. “I tried not to get lost in the emotion … It’s like a death when you lose a loved one, it’s that deep. It feels like a death,” she said in an interview with “Call Her Daddy” podcast in August. In a series of tweets last December, she said: “Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will. BUT at this point I had to make a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind. I am the healthiest and happiest I have been in a long time. You can say I am a twerking, pot smoking, foul-mouthed hillbilly but I am not a liar. I am proud to say, I am simply in a different place from where I was when I was younger.”
