“(I have) standard PTSD,” admitted Paris Jackson.
As the daughter of one of the most famous performers of all time, the late Michael Jackson, Paris was constantly subjected to the prying eyes of the paparazzi. With this came judgement as well as criticism from the public. Unsurprisingly, this had some serious effects on her mental health. While her late father would make her and her siblings wear masks when out with them in order to protect their identities, that anonymity is out the window now.
“I experience auditory hallucinations sometimes with camera clicks and severe paranoia and have been going to therapy for a lot of things but that included,” Paris revealed.
She explains how this impacts her daily life, saying:
“I’ll hear a trash bag rustling and flinch in panic.”
Now 23, Paris has taken back control of her life in some aspects, and in order to protect her own privacy, she reveals that she makes people sign a non-disclosure agreement before entering her home. And who could blame her?

The model also cites her two brothers, Michael Joseph “Prince” Jackson Jr. and Prince Michael “Blanket” Jackson II, as her source of strength.
“They’ve always been super-supportive,” Paris shared. “Not a lot of people can say they have siblings that support them like that.”
The daughter of the late superstar also previously recalled her childhood travelling all over the world along with her father on his tours.

“It was difficult. A blessing [and] a privilege to be able to experience so much at a young age,” Paris remembered. “And my dad was really good about making sure we were cultured, making sure we were educated, and not just showing us, like, the glitz and glam, like, hotel-hopping five-star places. But it was also, like, we saw everything. We saw third-world countries and we saw, like, every part of the spectrum.”
