“I think what’s been really interesting is how other people treat you,” she shared during an interview this week with the Australian radio show. “Sometimes being bigger, people didn’t necessarily look twice at you,” the ‘Jojo Rabbit’ star elaborated. “Now that I’m in good shape, people offer to carry my groceries to the car and hold doors open for you.”
She added, “I’m like, is this what other people experienced all the time?”

The Pitch Perfect actress also revealed how she began to gain weight in her late teens, putting on about 25kg when she went to college thanks to “comfort and emotional eating”, and her medical diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) meant she struggled with her size. Wilson shared the painful experience when she was paid a “lot of money to be bigger” for the benefit of her acting career. “I had a job where I was paid a lot of money to be bigger, at times which kind of can mess with your head a bit,” she said in an interview with The Sun.
