“Thank you for betraying me. Cukup sampai sini ah,” M’sian Rapper Warns Former PA Who Laundered RM160k

today1 April 2021

Background

Recently, Malaysian rapper MK, of the Sabah-born hip hop group K-Clique, found himself embroiled in controversy after news began circulating that he had laundered money. However, not long after, MK – born Muhammad Hairi Amin – revealed that that was not the case. Instead, MK stated that it was his former personal assistant who had made away with the money after accepting a job offer without his (MK’s) knowledge. At the time, MK had explained that the issue was one from 2020. He even named the perpetrator while writing: “To my friend who I trusted, thank you so much for betraying me.” He later deleted this post and updated it with a newer explanation that cited full cooperation from all parties involved to have the matter resolved.

Unfortunately, that did not seem to be the end of the situation. MK’s sister found comments by the perpetrator on Facebook, which show him promoting his store and responding to comments asking if the situation was true. The perpetrator went on to say that it was “a misunderstanding” and that “MK had apologised on his IG.” Seeing the comments, MK’s sister took screenshots and tagged the rapper, while calling out the perp. on his lies. She wrote:

“You say my brother apologised? Why should he apologise to you, you are the one who made off with enough money to open a store, buy a car and feed your family,”

She went on to give him a chance to meet her and speak to her so that the matter could be “settled in a good way.” And it seems that the former personal assistant did take up her offer, as not long after, MK shared a screenshot of his message to him. In the message, the extent of the amount of money involved is revealed: a whopping RM160,000. In the message, the former PA promises to settle the debt and asks for a week or two to do so. MK, who by now has seen his comments on Facebook, also included a disappointment-filled note, sharing:

“What kind of human being are you. I wrote an apology to those affected by your actions. Not to say it was a misunderstanding or to apologise to you. I put it away so that your family and those around you are not embarrassed. But now on FB, you’re twisting the matter into an understanding and saying I’m apologising to you? What kind of human being are you? Crazy la.”

In his caption for the post, MK went on to say that enough was enough, and warned the former PA to stop playing games. The rapper later posted an image of himself, alongside the caption:

“For years I’ve been stepped on by people I love and trust. Alhamdulillah, I am still standing strong thanks to the prayers of my mother, my family, kclique and those who know me and who want to see me succeed. Thank you very much! ?”

Here’s to hoping the matter is resolved ASAP!
