Known globally as “music’s biggest night,” the Grammys is postponed this year!
The 2021 Grammy Awards ceremony has been pushed back indefinitely, due to concerns about the spread of Covid-19. The award show officially revealed that the ceremony will not take place on Jan. 31, as previously decided, but is instead being pushed off until March 14.

In the past years, the Recording Academy awards ceremony usually takes place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, but unfortunately the city area, however, is experiencing a significant increase of Covid-19 infections that experts predict becoming worse.
The 2021 Grammy noms were announced in November, which as many of us remember caused quite the stir among musicians and the academy. Rapper Drake showed his support for The Weeknd on his personal Instagram account after he expressed that the Grammys is “corrupt” following his shocking absence from the 2021 Grammy nominations, even going as far as to say the Grammys “may no longer matter.”

Beyoncé led with nine nominations, making her the most-nominated female in Grammys history. Taylor Swift, Roddy Ricch and Dua Lipa followed closely behind.
