As if having Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks give her her blessing to use ‘Edge of Seventeen’ and then have the 72-year-old singer appear in a remix version of ‘Midnight Sky’ wasn’t cool enough – Miley Cryus has more up her sleeves for her upcoming album. Cyrus recently posted the tracklist for ‘Plastic Hearts’ on social media and it’s already impressive!

The tracklist reveals that Cyrus’s new album will have 12 tracks, including the hit ‘Midnight Sun’. However, that’s not all that’s been revealed. Fans now know to expect some major star power on the album, with Billy Idol and the rock legend herself Joan Jett (you’ve probably heard their cover of ‘I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll’). Idol’s collaboration track with Cyrus is titled, ‘Night Crawling’ while Joan Jett appears on ‘Bad Karma’. Meanwhile, Dua Lipa is set to sing and star alongside Cyrus in both the song and in the music video for, ‘Prisoner’. In an interview with Zach Sang: Just the Interviews Lipa said of her time working with Cyrus:
“We were meant to do a song together a little while ago and then we kind of decided that it didn’t really represent us. So we wanted to get in the studio and work on something that felt very unique to us and something that people hadn’t heard from us before.”
As for what fans should expect from the unique blend of the Cyrus-Lipa duo?
“I think that our song is like a perfect combination of both our styles and I think when you hear it you’ll understand. I feel like Miley is also doing such cool 80s glam rock type vibes. I think I was able to really quite easily intertwine myself into this world that she’s creating and to get to be a part of it.”

‘Plastic Hearts’ will be the 28-year-olds seventh studio album since her breakout into the industry through the Disney hit TV series ‘Hannah Montana’. The album follows her last full length album, ‘Younger Now’ released in 2017. However, Cyrus has had ‘Plastic Hearts’ on the back burner for a while now. Making reference to the time that the California wildfires burned down her house in Malibu (that she shared with then-husband Liam Hemsworth), Cyrus revealed that she had lost most of the album to the fire. Eventually, Cyrus remade the album from scratch. However, the destruction of the album came as a blessing in disguise for the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer. In the announcement for her album that she posted on her Instagram account, Cyrus shared,
“Thought I had it all figured out. Not just the record with its songs and sounds but my whole f****** life.”

However, the fires changed her perspective.
“No one checks an ego like life itself. Just when I thought the body of work was finished… it was ALL erased. Including most of the musics relevance.
Because EVERYTHING had changed.Nature did what I now see as a favor and destroyed what I couldn’t let go of for myself.
I lost my house in a fire but found myself in its ashes.Luckily my collaborators still had most of the music that was burned up in journals and computers filled with songs for the EP series I was working on at the time. But it never felt right to release my ‘story’ (each record being a continual autobiography) with a huge chapter missing.
If it were a chapter in my book I guess I would call it ‘The Beginning’ which usually when something is over we call it ‘The End’. But it was far from that.
In triumph and gratitude I present to you my 7th studio record, Plastic Hearts.”
The album is set to drop on the 27th of November.
