The former star of the Nickelodeon hit sitcom Drake & Josh Drake Bell has pleaded guilty to attempted child endangerment of a 15-year-old girl.
The 34-year-old actor was arrested and charged in Cleveland earlier this month. While he had initially pleaded not guilty, he has since agreed to a plea deal after saying he was guilty of both charges during a virtual court appearance on Wednesday.

According to the judge (as per PEOPLE),
“My understanding is there’s been a plea agreement reached where the defendant will plead guilty to count one attempted endangering children, a felony in the fourth degree [and] plead guilty to count two: disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, a misdemeanor the first degree.
He went on to reiterate:
“However, if you go to prison, upon your release, you could be subjected to a discretionary period of three years post-release control. Post-release control could involve restrictions on your activities. If you were to violate those restrictions, you can be returned to prison, [for] up to a maximum of one-half of your original sentence.”
The charges for attempted child endangerment is said to be “anywhere from six to 18 months in prison in monthly increments and/or a fine of up to $5,000,” while disseminating matter harmful to juveniles “carries up to six months in jail and/or a fine of up to $1,000,” the judge explained.
Drake apparently responded to the potential sentencing by indicating that he understood the consequences and that if he pleaded guilty, it would count as an admission of the crimes. His sentencing hearing is currently set for July 12, during which the victim will be able to read a statement if she so chooses to do so.
