High School Musical just celebrated their 15th anniversary of the iconic movie series, which can only mean it has also been 15 years since one of Disney’s favourite couple consumed our entire lives. As fans may know already Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have gone their separate ways, but that doesn’t mean we cant still obsess over them even after more than a decade later.

It’s no secret that High School Musical catapulted all their actors into the lime light of Hollywood especially for the former couple, Zanessa, who continue to be highly sought-after actors till today. However, it didn’t come easy for the stars, they have gone through immense hours of work. The casting process for the Disney Channel original movie was apparently a grueling one, according to director Kenny Ortega, said he treated auditions as if he was casting a Broadway musical.

She was so smitten. She said, ‘He’s too cute. I can’t read with him.’ She had a meltdown. It’s easy to say in hindsight. But when they auditioned together, it was clear. It wasn’t even a close call. We saw the chemistry between them, and we were sold.
