The Late Late Show with James Corden made a few loyal Shawn Mendes fans very unhappy in their recent YouTube video. It got so bad that the host had to issue an on-air apology.
For all you Shawn fans who are unaware, here’s what happened. The Late Late Show posted a video titled “Celebrity Instagram: Kylie Jenner, Shawn Mendes.” Unfortunately for them, the only problem is that Shawn wasn’t featured in the video at all! The singer’s IG post was actually cut out from the segment.
According, to Seventeen Magazine fans awaited for the superstar’s appearance and never got it, which resulted in of course sending some Mendes fans into a stir, and boy did the talk show host mess with the wrong fandom; “I only clicked on this for some yum yum Shawn Mendes content. I’m disappointed. “You said Shawn Mendes. I’m here and you let me down.’ ‘Disliking because he lied to me about Shawn.” “Literally, I watched it all to finally see Shawn and then nothing. Am I a joke to you?” James Corden read outloud.
He goes on to apologize “We’re horrified. We’re embarrassed. We’re ashamed,” James continued. He also pointed out the head of the digital team didn’t see the clip before posting it and accidentally left Shawn’s name on there.
However, it becomes a little more weirder as the talk show now has removed their video! Why is the question we’ve been asking since Mendes and James seemed to have patched things up. Check his post down below:
