When we think of the term “Power Couple”, we often think of the likes of Jay Z and Beyoncé, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, Barack and Michelle Obama, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham – and honestly, I could go on for a while. But, one-half of one of the most underrated power couples to grace the entertainment industry that we need to talk about more is the combination of Sawarakian-Britsh actor Henry Golding and his charismatic wife, Liv Lo. The gorgeous couple works well together and as individuals – but their journey as a married couple is little known. Here’s a look at the who, how, what, where that make up today’s Mr & Mrs Golding.

To say that Liv Lo is a multifaceted talent is an understatement. The Taiwanese – Italian beauty is able to fluently converse in English, Mandarin and Japanese. Since starting her modelling career at the age of 17 in Taiwan, she’s completed her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications at Temple University Japan and became a familiar face in Japan. Following that, Lo moved to Singapore and transitioned to television through hosting and acting roles. She’s starred in the hit Singaporean drama “Point of Entry 4” as well as had spots on Fox Sports, Star World Asia and Fox Movies Premium. The versatile entrepreneur started FitSphere (a low-impact workout program), is a certified yoga instructor (with a booming Youtube channel), a Reebok Brand Ambassador, a Panda Ambassador with WWF Singapore as well as National Geographic Asia’s #PlanetorPlastic Travel Ambassador

As if they were in a movie directed, written by and starring themselves, Golding and Lo met on News Year’s in 2011, during a friends party. Lo made the first move (yas, kween!) and took the initiative to approach Golding. Speaking to Her World, Lo explained that she’d seen the “tall”, “handsome” and “really fun and down to earth” Golding from across the room. Despite being interested, she only made the move when the two bumped into each other as she was leaving.
“I knew you had noticed me but didn’t introduce yourself. Disappointed, I tried all my craziest wildest efforts, including dancing on speakers, to grab your attention. If you weren’t going to speak to me, I knew I would have to. As I was leaving you walked behind me. Here was my chance. I had nothing to lose. I turned around and said ‘Hi, I am leaving and you’re never going to see me again’. And so began our love story.”
Speaking to Harpers Bazaar, Lo says of the decision to approach Golding,
“It took a lot of guts, but I was just drawn to him. I feel that he draws a certain spontaneity and spark, and it’s obvious that it drives me as well. I don’t even know why I did it in the first place, but I did and that’s what stood out for me.”

For the fourth anniversary of their relationship, the couple went to Phuket. After the best day riding on motorbikes to temples, finding secret beaches and eating spicy Thai food, Golding popped the question. That was in 2015.
“He had booked a restaurant at sunset that ‘just so happened’ to have a string quartet playing and was serving champagne on arrival. But, I just thought he was being romantic as it was our anniversary. However, we took a stroll on the rocks and he proposed at the magic hour. Unforgettable.”
As to what led up to that moment, Golding told PEOPLE,
“There’s always a little bit of magic when you first meet a person, but it doesn’t occur to you. It’s not like, ‘Oh my God, that’s a person I’m going to marry.’ There’s like, ‘Wow, there’s something about them,’ but it’s when you get to know somebody, when you build a relationship, that you become a team. That’s when you start realizing, this is the love of my life.”
Where are they now?
The 33-year-old former hairdresser and his charismatic TV host wife recently announced that they are about to welcome a new addition to the family. Lo shared the sweet announcement on her Instagram account alongside the caption,
“Such immense joy this little one has brought us already. Now we get to share it with you?We love you!✨.”
The couple tied the know in Sarawak back in 2016, at the Cove 55 Resort, in an intimate garden ceremony, followed by a marquee reception lit up by fairy lights.
