When news of Paul Walker’s passing reached the general public, hearts around the world broke – for the loss of a great actor, and for those who lost a friend, brother and father. At the time, Walker was filming Fast 7 with the Fast and Furious team. Walker’s loss sent ripples through the team, who had worked with him since 2001 when Walker was cast as Brian O’Conner. Looking back at the time, 53-year-old Vin Diesel (who was cast alongside Walker for the role of Dominic “Dom” Toretto in the first film) spoke about the moments after his passing.
“When the tragedy happened back in 2013, we stopped filming Furious 7 for about five months because we were wrapping our heads around what we were going to do, while mourning. And the studio accepted a bold decision, which was to allow the character to exist in our mythology. And to that end alone, you have to honor that. On a personal level, we started this franchise together. Alongside us starting the franchise, we started a brotherhood. Our brotherhood will outlast the franchise.”

Does this mean we’ll get to see Walker’s daughter Meadow – now aged 22 – have a part in the Fast and Furious movies? In his appearance on E! News’ Daily Pop, Diesel’s answer to the question is… sus, to say the least. He pauses multiple times before carefully answering…
“I would not count anything out. Let me just—without giving you all of the secrets of Fast 10. Let’s just say nothing’s ruled out.”
It would surely be poetic if Meadow does somehow make an appearance in the franchise as the daughter of the late actor’s character, Brian. If it is on the cards, we can count surely on Diesel, who is also Meadow’s godfather, to do Walker, his character and his memory justice.

Diesel, who has said he is “very protective” of Meadow, also said (in a recent interview with Extra) that she “takes good care of me.”
“She’s the first person on Father’s Day to wish me Happy Father’s Day. To see her with my children is one of the most beautiful things. There are moments when I see her playing with [his 6-year-old daughter] Pauline and it hits me so deep ’cause I can only imagine what my brother sees when he sees that.”
With F9 set to be released in theatres on June 25, it’s unlikely we will see Meadow appear just yet. After all, with the present in-movie timeline, Toretto’s children aren’t quite as old as Meadow is in real life (should they want to have Meadow appear as Walker’s characters daughter). But, we have hopes for F10 and F11 which may just be the end for the Fast franchise.
