Lily Collins Just Teases Some Plots For Emily In Paris Season 2

today5 February 2021

Background

It doesn’t take long to realize that Emily in Paris has no idea what she’s doing. The hit Netflix show which follows a clueless young American woman who walks into a culture with which she’s made no effort to familiarize herself.

But to make it short, she met this very cute neighbor of hers and she’s living a glamorous life in Paris in 2020 while the rest of us are getting themed face masks shilled to us by Instagram. As someone on Twitter highlighted it: “Emily in Paris, rest of us in hell.”

Soooo, after Emily gets to run around Paris and go to restaurants; have awkward, inappropriate interactions with her boss; and bang many mediocre men without a care in the world. She doesn’t have to quarantine for two weeks before going to her parents’ for the weekend or wear a mask as she makes any of her dozens of terrible choices. Emily is free to be an ignorant American in Paris, and that is reason enough to watch this show. Now, the real question is: When will there be more?

According to Emily herself (aka Lily Collins), Season 2 could explore Emily’s past. We definitely got our fill of Emily fumbling around Paris in season 1, but it seems season 2 will deliver less fumbling and more actual plot:

“The first season, we only had ten episodes to really explore her new friends at work and who she meets outside of work, so I’m excited to dive deeper into those backstories and spend more time intermingling the two groups of people that she meets,” Lily said. “Now that we’ve seen her with all these ‘Parisisms,’ maybe we get to actually get to a bit more of her backstory, and experience that with some of the other characters.” Hmmmm, Merci Lily, we can’t wait.
