Who would have thought that we would see the words ‘Loki’ in the same sentence as ‘Teletubbies’.
For those who somehow managed to evade the Teletubbies while they were growing up, these colourful creatures live “over the hills and far away” and they have “come to play”, looked down upon by the smiling ‘Sun Baby’. Not only that, they also have TV screens on their cute little tummies (hence the name ‘Teletubbies’).

Sure, it might sound weird but I promise you, every single kid was watching this show back in the day!
Now, as if things aren’t strange enough, the upcoming Loki series was partially inspired by the famous kids’ shows, with Tom HIddleston reprising his role as the trouble-making God of Mischief in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Unlike his previous appearances in past films, this time he takes the centre stage as the titular character to loud applause.

These new shows that headline phase 4 of the MCU such as ‘WandaVision’ and ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ have set themselves apart from previous MCU films by embracing new formulas of storytelling — and ‘Loki’ promises to be in a league of its own.
Series director Kate Herron reveals three of the main inspirations for ‘Loki’, which are ‘Blade Runner’, ‘Mad Men’ and, um, ‘Teletubbies’. However, Heron refuses to speak further on how the last one works, other than,
“You’re just gonna have to wait until June 11.”
Well, you heard the lady!
