It is a truth universally acknowledged, that for every popular opinion or affection, there is a TikTok out there that shits on it. And today? It’s Rachel Green’s turn. TikTok user @sheherzog kicked off the now-viral video on Jen’s portrayal of Rachel Green. “What is a trope in the media, that once you saw it, you couldn’t unsee it?” Among the various responses was a TikToker posting under the username @cts.trphe. “Okay, so technically this isn’t a trope, but what I’m about to say is going to ruin your life. It’s gonna ruin your life—especially if you are a big fan of the show Friends.”
After one final warning, “If you are a big fan of the show, I’m begging you, scroll away because I’m going to ruin your life,” the big reveal occurs.

“Jennifer Aniston has this vocal tic that she does at the beginning of every single sentence that she starts on any show that she’s in,” says @cts.trphe. “It’s very specific, and it’s very hard to unsee once you notice it.” He’s absolutely not wrong, as the supercut of Jen clearing her throat over a dozen times plays immediately after. If you need us, we’ll be busy looking for the brain-bleach in the cleaning aisle.
