Bridget Jones’s Diary, When Harry Met Sally, and The Notebook are just a few names that pop up when you think of romance films, we know them, we love them, and we celebrate them as the best romantic-filled flicks of all time. The truth is, there are so many other swoon-worthy romances outside of these classic films like, so if you’re looking for another romance to gush over here are the 10 romance movies that might be underrated, but will pull on your heartstrings for sure.

1. What If (2013)

The rom-com follows the character Wallace who didn’t find luck when it came to love and had several failed relationships, but when he meets Chantry, things change. With time, they realise that they are falling in love, but Chantry already has a boyfriend.

2. Home Again (2017)

Recently divorced Alice lets three aspiring filmmakers stay in her guesthouse and soon develops feelings towards one of them. Issues arise when her husband returns with a suitcase in his hands.

3. About Time (2013)

Supernatural meets romance, perfect combo right? Don’t knock it till you watch it. Like all the men in his family, Tim Lake possesses the power to travel in time. With the advice of his father, he uses his special ability to pursue his romantic interest, Mary.

4. Like Crazy (2011)

An American boy falls in love with a British student. Their love is tested when immigration issues force them apart and the two have to struggle with the pitfalls of a long-distance relationship.

5. Friends With Kids (2011)

The age-old belief that friends make the best partners. Julie and Jason decide to have a baby together while just being friends. They agree to share the responsibility of the child and at the same time carry on with their respective romantic lives.

Longtime friends Ben and Alice agree to be each other’s plus one at every wedding they’re invited to during a busy summer of wedding fever.
