As if all the TikTok’s making fun of 90s kids as they figure out the complicated platform (it really is difficult o-kayy) aren’t enough to make us feel old, news from earlier this year that Rupert Grint (AKA Ron Weasley in Harry Potter) and Georgina Groome (AKA Georgia Nicholson in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging) are expecting their first child together should. This is BIG NEWS because as 90s kids, we’ve practically grown up alongside them – maybe even envisioned our future with them *ahem*. But Grint is not the first 2000s celeb to welcome a child, there are a few others that we may not think about but definitely have not forgotten.

Frankie Muniz, ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ (2000 to 2006)

“Malcolm: Someone stole my friend’s wheelchair.
Security Guard: What’s it look like?
Malcolm: It’s a chair… with wheels.”

34-year-old ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ star and his wife, Paige Price, are expecting their first child together and have just recently announced that they are blessed with a baby boy! The couple who eloped last year before having an official wedding ceremony in February, shared the news with fans Saturday in a YouTube video. In it, Muniz is heard saying that their baby is a”miracle”, having been told by doctors that their “chances weren’t that great”. The young soon-to-be parents shared,

“We were shocked and thrilled to hear the news that we’re going to be parents,”

Josh Peck, ‘Drake & Josh’ (2004 to 2007)

“Drake: Is it because you ran over Oprah?
Josh: No, because it’s a little humid–YES, IT’S BECAUSE I RAN OVER OPRAH!”

This well-loved 33-year-old actor began his career alongside Amanda Bynes on Nickelodeon. He started out in the late 1990s on The Amanda Show from 2000 to 2002. He then co-starred with Josh Nichols character, Drake Bell, in Drake & Josh. Ever since the end of the show, he’s been acting in movies such as Mean Creek, Ice Age: The Meltdown, Red Dawn and more. He started his own Youtube Channel in 2017 alongside David Dobrik and his wife Paige O’Brien. He welcomed the birth of his first child in December 2018.

David Henrie, ‘Wizards of Wavery Place’ (2007 – 2012)

“The wizard world has only one hope and his name is Justin Vincenzo Pepe Russo.”

Despite being noted for playing the eldest Russo, Justin Russo, alongside Selena Gomez in Wizards of Waverly Place Henrie has also had notable appearances as Ted Mosby’s future son, Luke, on How I Met Your Mother and in That’s So Raven as Cory’s friend, Larry. Henrie welcomed a daughter, Pia, in March of 2019.

Christy Carlson Romano,  ‘Even Stevens’/ ‘Kim Possible’

“So not the drama.”

You’d better not call or beep her because I doubt you’d reach her! Christy, the voice of Kim Possible and sister to Even Stevens, can now add another impressive title to her belt – momma! The 36-year-old Disney alumni is now the mother of two beautiful girls, Isabella and Sophia. Her most recent TV appearance was in February 2019, as pop star “Poppy Blu” in the live-action Kim Possible television movie.

Melissa Joan Hart, ‘Sabrina The Teenage Witch’ (1996–2003)

“What’s the matter? I have to be a witch, I have to be a mortal, I have to be a teenager and I have to be a girl all at the same time. That’s what’s the matter.”

Melissa stared as Sabrina Spellman in “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” back in the 1990s. The show ran for seven seasons. After numerous TV appearances, she went on to join Dancing With The Stars in 2009, where she was eliminated on the 6th week. The now 43-year-old (omg, already?!) has hung up her cloak and stepped up as a mum to three sons, Tucker, Braydon, and Mason.

Nathan Kress, ‘iCarly’

“In 5, 4, 3, 2…”

Nathan landed the role of Freddie Benson on the Nickelodeon series iCarly. Freddie was Carly’s nerdy best friend/cameraman. The now 27-year-old works with various charitable causes including The Big Green Help, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and The Starlight Children’s Foundation. He welcomed a daughter, Rosie, in 2017.
