Which has got us wondering… who are the richest K-pop Idols/ those with the highest net worth? Only a handful of K-pop singers end up becoming iconic and remain relevant throughout their years active in the industry. However, to become one of the richest Kpop idols means they need to have the potential to make lots of money and even through multiple different avenues. Most of the richest K-pop idols have also started to invest their money as well as expand out of the music industry and into the entertainment industry.

 

So here it is some celebrities with income end up making their entry in the list of the nation’s richest people.

 

1. G-Dragon

Also known as ” The King Of  K-Pop” and has remained to this day one of the most iconic faces in the Korean entertainment industry, BIGBANG’s G-Dragon is the third has a whooping load of money behind his name. list. He’s a singer, rapper, songwriter-producer, entrepreneur, and fashionista. A part of his money comes in from the songwriting royalties that G-Dragon has earned. As a producer, he has written and produced approximately 180 songs. As well as his endorsement deals cost an average of $2 million!

Similar to G-Dragon, Taeyang is also a fashion icon and has done collaborations with well-known designer brands, Fendi for “Fendi for Taeyang”. He has over 30 song credits and owns a house that is worth around $3.5 million. The singer-songwriter also owns a building that is worth over $7 million. Over the years in the music industry, he has also a shareholder in YG Entertainment (one of South Korea’s biggest entertainment agencies) and is reported to have invested $600,000 in the company.

Many may disagree but fans believe that PSY truly did take K-Pop to international water and global recognition! He is a singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer. When he signed with YG Entertainment back in 2010, was when his career went to greater heights. It was revealed that PSY had earned $28 million just from his single hit Gangnam Style in 2012. Creating one for the  YouTube history books, as during that time was when the views counter that then had to be increased to more numbers, as they never thought the number of views could be possible!

T.O.P is a rapper, singer, songwriter, for the K-Pop group Big Bang. He released the album GD & TOP in 2010 which hit #1 in Korea. He has ventured into producing and acting as well over the years. He is known to have purchased original artworks from Andy Warhol. T.O.P has done many TV commercials and it is estimated his price is at least $500,000 for a six-month endorsement deal or $1 million for a year-long endorsement deal. The talented rapper also owns a villa that is valued at over $2.5 million.

From movies to lead roles in dramas to being a member of the iconic K-Pop group that earned many number ones and broke records. He was also called the “King of Twitter” as he was the first K-Pop idol to reach 3 million followers on the platform when Twitter was just launched in South Korea.
