In conjunction with the number one hit franchise’s 13th anniversary, Marvel Studios dropped a 3-minute video to celebrate the past movies and characters throughout the years, including the iconic “Avengers, assemble” scene from ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Some fans cried (ie: me).
And if that isn’t enough, the second half of the video shows footages from the long-awaited, upcoming Marvel film ‘Black Widow’ as well as ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’, giving us a glimpse of what’s to come in the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
AND THEY DID NOT STOP THERE. Marvel being Marvel, they continued dishing out treats to make sure fans are *served* and fed well (bless Kevin Feige). The video went straight into multiple unreleased, never-seen-before footages of the eagerly anticipated ‘Eternals’, along with a clip of Angelina Jolie wielding what seems to be a magical sword. *unidentified screaming*

Without giving fans time to calm down, Marvel also released Phase 4’s confirmed film titles and release dates. From ‘Black Widow’ (July 9, 2021), ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ (September 3, 2021), ‘Eternals’ (November 5, 2021), ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’ (December 17, 2021), ‘Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ (March 25, 2022), ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ (May 6, 2022), Marvel pushes fans further into hysteria by dropping brand-new titles like ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ (July 8, 2022), ‘The Marvel’ (November 11, 2022), ‘Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania’ (February 17, 2023), ‘Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3’ (May 5, 2023) and closing with a logo depicting the number 4. Is it in reference to the Phase 4 films for the next 3 years…or is it a tease for an upcoming MCU ‘Fantastic Four’ film?
The pandemic has caused multiple delays in the release of these movies, but Marvel promises “what the future brings will be worth the wait”!
