Marvel Is Reportedly Planning A HULK FIGHT

today1 June 2021

Background

This should be interesting.

Actor Mark Ruffalo’s ‘Hulk’ might have to face one of his biggest foes in the MCU. Despite having a wild ride in the franchise so far, there’s still plenty of potential for the green giant as he hasn’t had any solo acts since 2008.

Thank God, She-Hulk will change this game, with Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters potentially paving the way for other Hulk characters to make their appearance in the universe.

Surely, all fingers are pointed at Red Hulk turning up in the MCU. Fans who follow the comic books will know that General Ross morphs into the creature after he voluntarily undergoes the process to fight Bruce Banner. William Hurt’s Secretary of State has become alive yet again in the franchise, although we are yet to see him turn into his infamous alter ego. Fans can expect this to be on the horizon though, as sources say that Marvel is planning to put Hulk against Red Hulk.

According to the same sources who informed that a She-Hulk Disney+ series was happening well before it was announced, Ross will still turn into Red Hulk eventually and fight Banner’s Hulk. Although we still don’t know when exactly this will occur.

Ross’ role as an antagonist has been held back since his return in Captain America: Civil War. While he’s still seen as an obstacle to the Avengers, through the Sokovia Accords storyline, his typical blowhard personality has been pulled back a bit, explained away as his gaining a new attitude following a heart attack scare. But if he’s about to transform into Red Hulk and throw hands with Banner, he might be about to revert to his old ways.

She-Hulk is filming as we speak and will be released on Disney+ sometime in 2022, so there’s something exciting to look forward to for all Marvel fans!
