Not according to plan, unfortunately.

Reports from The Hollywood Reporter have stated that “Mission: Impossible 7” will suspend filming in the U.K. until mid-June following a positive case of COVID-19 among the crew members.

“We have temporarily halted production on Mission: Impossible 7 until June 14th, due to positive coronavirus test results during routine testing. We are following all safety protocols and will continue to monitor the situation,” a statement from the production reads.

With that being said, the production team will go through a 14 day quarantine period with the affected crew member and anyone considered being in close contact going into self-isolation. However, it is unclear as to how many people exactly are required to undergo this protocol.

Last year, an audio clip went viral of the film’s main star, Cruise, yelling at the crew members for violating the Coronavirus SOPs.

“They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us. We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherf***ers,” Cruise could be heard yelling. “That’s it. No apologies. You can tell it to the people that are losing their f***ing homes because our industry is shut down.”

After that incident, reports said that five members of the crew resigned with Cruise’s rant being the ‘final straw’. The actor later then addressed the viral audio clip saying that he had no apologies and the rant was towards a select number of people from the production.

“I said what I said,” Cruise said. “There was a lot at stake at that point. But it wasn’t my entire crew. I had the crew leave the set, and it was just select people.”

“Mission: Impossible 7” is scheduled to hit cinemas on May 27th, 2022.
