Hearing your baby’s first words is the best part of parenthood. It’s a rite of passage, signifying that your little bundle of joy is growing up and will soon take its first steps and the next thing you know, they are moving away to college!
In the case of TikTok user Shawna, she was both stunned and terrified when her baby daughters’ first words appeared to be,
“Help me, mommy.”

She managed to document the moment and uploaded the short video on TikTok, captioning it with,

The video shows the baby bundled up in a comfortable-looking jumpsuit and wrapped up with a blanket, with the words,
“When your daughter’s first words are a plea for help. Terrifying.”
The baby is seen stretching and making gibbering baby noises, before suddenly, she clearly says, “Help me, mommy” just before the video cuts off.
A TikTok user commented, “well did you help her?” to which the mother responded with a shocking revelation,
“That shook me I took her to the pediatrician, who sent us to the cardiologist when she hear [sic] a murmur, she had surgery less than a month later.”
A TikTok user replied to the comment, saying,
“This comment shook me more!!! She was actually telling you something, babies are far too clever!!”
In a separate comment, the mother also said that her baby “never said a d–n [sic] syllable before it either but she was baby talking up a storm. I cant [sic] believe we caught it”
In all seriousness, we are so glad that the sweet little baby got the help she needed and seems to be in good health!
