Teacher Exposes ‘Black Magic’ Scammer Using WhatsApp To Threaten Victims For Money

Undeniably, many tactics are used by irresponsible individuals to cheat the masses in order to make a quick buck. According to statistics, until June 2020, Malaysians have been facing losses of up to RM 914 million due to these cheating incidents.
In a recent incident, a new technic was exposed on Twitter by @cikguseo showing a Whatsapp conversation between the suspect and their victim.

“Scammer detected! Their modus operandi is simple, take a photo from your social media and phone number and then threaten you? Not asking for much, just RM 100 and if you don’t give it you will die. For a ‘real’ impact, there’s a video to emphasize their seriousness. Watch the video below.”
The video sent by the suspect makes the victim feel scared and unwillingly obey by paying the amount the suspect requested.
Through the 10 second video, the scammer was believed to threaten their victim using a doll and explained that they can kill their victim in a blink of an eye.
“You watch, this is what I can do. Watch that I can kill you with my voice. You just wait I can kill you tonight itself.”
According to the conversation, a netizen had the chance to ask the rates of the service offered by the suspect.
The scammer explained that they would charge as much as RM 300 for black magic and even offered the netizen to accept the service to use on others.
