Korean sensation Girls’ Generation is reportedly preparing to make their highly-anticipated comeback as a full band.
The group made their K-pop debut in August 2007 with the legendary hit Into The New World, and have since evolved into a powerhouse amongst K-poppers.
Born in an era when K-pop was almost unknown outside of Korea, the group won over fans worldwide with chart-smashing records and singles like Gee, Genie, and Lion Heart.
Gee, which is now 13 years old, remains a popular, vivacious love ballad.
By embarking on world tours and conquering American news programmes, the group opened the channel for the global K-pop craze and aided the genre’s growth. Alongside girl group Kara, it became the second female K-pop band to hold a concert at Tokyo Dome.
