Green Day is set to join the lineup for the iHeart Music festival, just two days after announcing their joint tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer.
The music festival which will be taking place on September 20 and 21 in Las Vegas will also feature other performances by Alicia Keys, Backstreet Boys, Camila Cabello, Chance The Rapper, Def Leppard, Halsey, H.E.R., Miley Cyrus, Mumford & Sons, Tim McGraw and many more.

This will mark their first appearance at iHeart since 2012, after frontman Billie Joe Armstrong abruptly smashed his guitar at the end of the band’s set on stage. He said at the time he was protesting because his set was cut short by organizers. However, Billie later admitted he was under the influence, “I’m a blackout drinker. That’s basically what happened [that night],” Armstrong told Rolling Stone the following year.
The group has not had any music out since their “Revolution Radio” album in 2016, but a new album is now scheduled for release early next year.
