Greta Gerwig has had a great year, basking in the glory and success of her billion-dollar hit film Barbie, which walked away with nine nominations and two wins at the Golden Globes.
And now, moving onto her next giant project, the filmmaker expresses anxiety working on The Chronicles of Narnia.
“I’m slightly in the place of terror because I really do have such reverence for Narnia,” she said. “I loved Narnia so much as a child. As an adult, C.S. Lewis is a thinker and a writer. I’m intimidated by doing this. It’s something that feels like a worthy thing to be intimidated by.”
Gerwig, who also directed Lady Bird and Little Women, will be making her fantasy debut with the beloved franchise.
