So apparently rumour has been going around that Olivia Rodrigo’s hits song “Vampire” is about the “Bad Blood” singer, and here’s what Rodrigo has to say about it!
“How do I answer this?” Rodrigo reportedly whispered to a journalist, when asked about it in an interview.
“I mean, I never want to say who any of my songs are about,” said Rodrigo. “I’ve never done that before in my career and probably won’t. I think it’s better to not pigeonhole a song to being about this one thing.”
Rodrigo and Swift allegedly had a feud over royalties drama, in which Rodrigo had to give Swift (her childhood idol) and Jack Antonoff songwriting credit as well as royalties for her song “Deja Vu” due to its similarity to Swift’s “Cruel Summer.”
While Rodrigo did not publicly deny the allegation, she did express her shock at hearing such a statement, saying,
“I was very surprised when people thought that.”
