Lady gaga is apologizing for the cringy interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Last Wednesday (1 April) , the singer was supposed to go on the “Tonight Show” with a big announcement, but things didn’t go quite as planned.
While on Facetime with Fallon, the singer was seen saying “I can’t, Jimmy. I can’t talk right now,” during the call.
She then asked to change the call to Friday, before calling back and changing the date to Monday.
Fans and Fallon himself were left confused.
The Oscar-winning singer kept her word and returned on the show on Monday (6 April), and offered her sincerest apology for cutting their conversation short.
“I’m so sorry,” Gaga said. “We weren’t quite ready yet,” she explained, “and I really appreciate you being so nice about it, and thank you. I love you, I love your viewers and everyone at home watching. I just wish everybody well.”
“We love you all too and it turned out to be really kind of a fun bit for us and got a lot of people talking and a lot of people excited about what we’re about to discuss tonight,” Fallon responded.
The big news is a virtual benefit concert called One World: Together at Home, which Gaga is coordinating for COVID-19 with Global Citizen and the World Health Organization.
The special airs Saturday (18 April) on ABC, CBS and NBC.
The performances include Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Kacey Musgraves, Andrea Bocelli, Elton John, John Legend, Chris Martin and Alanis Morissette.
