‘A Star Is Born’ turns a year old, on 5 oct!
But that’s not all there is to celebrate. Lady Gaga and the team behind the Star is born is also celebrating another breakthrough for the film.
Gaga who starred as Ally in the film, was presented with a plaque honouring the album’s sales milestones. Currently, the ‘A Star Is Born’ soundtrack has hit double-platinum status in the U.S. and more than 6 million copies have been sold globally.
To celebrate the big achievement, Gaga shared the news on her social media while debuting a bubblegum pink hair.
“A year ago, A Star was Born, and here we are 6 times pink platinum,” she captioned the photo.

The soundtrack, which features “Shallow” sung and performed by Gaga and Bradley Cooper, gained enormous success since its release. The song also won two Grammy’s, including one for best pop duo/duo performance, an Oscar, and a Golden Globe during the 2019 awards season.
