Malaysian PM wants ASEAN to have laws against hate speech protecting sexual preferences
Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin is calling for tougher laws in ASEAN to act against all forms of hate speech, including harassment over sexual orientation.
He relayed this message when speaking at the ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting held on January 21, 2021. He stated that online platforms should cooperate and remove such posts.
