Malaysians Are Not Careful With Their Private Info On Social Media! #TerkiniWithNandini

today10 June 2020

Background

The COVID-19 pandemic has left many of employees laid off or have had pay cuts, so many Malaysians have literally taken up the saying at desperate times call for desperate measures.

In this episode of #TerkiniwithNandini Fly’s AM Mayhem and Nandini discuss the current trend circulating on social media whereby Malaysians are sharing their bank details for donations!

Nandini and Fly’s AM Mayhem agree on the fact that, in today’s day and age where hackers and scammers are thriving we should be a little careful when posting personal and private information on the internet.

“So they will put their full name and their bank account number and the bank that they are registered to. This increases the risk of you getting hacked and people misusing your personal information!” – Nandini

“With the global pandemic going on it’s hitting every country so hard! So there’s that quote right, desperate times call for desperate measures. And people are super desperate about anything, people become vulnerable but they need to be aware that they could be at risk from many scams.” – Guibo
