UPDATED April 1, 10:17 a.m. MYT: The NYPD has arrested 38-year-old Brandon Elliot, suspected of brutally assaulting a 65-year-old Asian American woman. In 2002, Elliot was convicted of killing his own mother at the age of 19. He was released from prison in 2019 and is on lifetime parole.
