
MIC’s Awtar Singh has apologised to Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission chairman Salim Fateh Din for falsely accusing the regulator of failing to act against phone-based scammers.
Scoop reported that in a TikTok video posted today, the former Subang Jaya City Council councillor said his accusations were baseless, unfair, and made without a proper understanding of the facts.
The former Puchong MIC chief said his claims had tarnished the reputation and undermined public confidence in MCMC.
