Lady Gaga can now check off the list for- getting an insect named after her.
The newly discovered species of insects was found in Nicaragua and given the named: Kaikaia gaga

The Kaikaia gaga, is said to be part of the treehopper genus, however its unique features also classifies it as their own species. According to Brendan Morris, a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign entomology graduate, who studied and named the new insect, “The ruddy insect, with her pointy horns and unique body structure, more closely resembles “Old World” species endemic to Asia, Africa and Europe. But she’s native to the Pacific coast of Nicaragua.”

Morris said he knew the new discovery would matter, and wanted to put a spotlight on the new bug by naming it after the music icon.
“If there is going to be a Lady Gaga bug, it’s going to be a treehopper, because they’ve got these crazy horns, they have this wacky fashion sense about them,” Morris said. “They’re unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.”

Lady Gaga has yet to comment on the new discovery, but K. gaga’s debut couldn’t have come at a better time, the musician is still hot from her latest released track and music video for “Stupid Love.”
