Today I learned that there’s a type of marine creature that vaguely resembles an alligator, complete with ‘snout’ and rows of razer-sharp teeth, but is actually a species of fish.
It’s called an alligator gar. Damn, it even has ‘alligator’ in its name.
One such creature was found dead on the banks of MacRitchie Reservoir in Singapore on Valentine’s Day. It definitely looks alien.
