

After eluding capture in a number of busts for more than four years, Vũ Hoàng Oanh, a 65-year-old drug lord regarded as one of Vietnam’s largest “drug queens,” was finally apprehended.
The 65-year-old woman ran a transnational drug trafficking ring that moved hundreds of kilograms of heroin, methamphetamine, and ecstasy into Vietnam.

Vũ Hoàng Oanh (right) is the sister of notorious female crime lord Dung Hà (left), who was murdered in 2000 by Năm Cam, a well-known felon with whom Dung had previously collaborated.
While her crime ring was first busted in May 2018, Oanh still managed to escape and flee the country.
