
Lawmakers of Perikatan Nasional (PN) have expressed uneasiness since Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the country has saved around RM2 billion following the completion of three flood mitigation projects.
Last December, Anwar explained that the RM7 billion project will not be continued.

PAS Deputy President, Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man questioned the statement as he believed it was impossible for the savings to have been obtained when the project has yet to commence.
Both the Sungai Klang-Sungai Rasau dual-function reservoir as well as the Sungai Golok Integrated River Basin Development Phase 3 projects, according to him, are still in the “negotiating stage” and have no existing contractors.
