“The Powerpuff Girls” could be making a comeback, but this time in a live-action version.
The classic Cartoon Network series is in the midst of development for CW.
The new version will bring back the iconic trio Blossom, Bubble, Buttercup, and is set to have similar takes as Riverdale, fitting in to the modern age.
“Now they’re disillusioned 20-somethings who resent having lost their childhood to crime fighting,” according to the show’s tagline reads.
“Will they agree to reunite now that the world needs them more than ever?”
‘Powerpuff Girls’ will be written and executive produce by Heather Regnier and Diablo Cody.
