The wait is (almost) finally over!
Rihanna is set to release her ninth album this year- Yes Riri fans you read that right, THIS YEAR!
The news broke on Friday (Sept. 6), after the CEO of Universal Music France, announced the label’s slate of album releases for 2019, which includes Rihanna’s highly anticipated album supposedly set to release in December.
The news comes alongside Drake, The Weeknd and Migos, whose new albums are also set to come out this year, in November.
In June, the “Love On the Brain” star confirmed that she’s working on a Reggae influenced album. “It really does suck that it can’t just come out, because I’m working on a really fun one right now. I’m really happy with a lot of the material we have so far, but I am not going to put it out until it’s complete,” she said in an Interview.
However Riri has yet to confirm the news herself -but that’s okay! Because fans can finally have a little peace of mind knowing that the pop stars new music is (really) on its way.
