Singapore university professor sacked for alleged sexual harassment of student

The National University of Singapore (NUS) has fired a professor over a case of sexual harassment against a student on December 1, 2020.

The professor, Theodore G. Hopf, from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), allegedly sexually harassed a student according to an anonymous tip-off sent to the university.

NUS said in a statement that they conducted interviews with both the student and Hopf. On September 15, 2020, he was prohibited from contacting any NUS students.
