Fully-electric cars still command a premium price, but Tesla is slowly but surely making its vehicles more affordable. Today, the price of the Model 3 and Model Y fell, but only for the base models.
As Business Insider reports, the Model 3 is US$1,000 cheaper, costing US$36,990 for the base model instead of the previous US$37,990 price tag. However, the Model 3 Performance configuration has seen its price increase by the same amount, taking it from US$54,990 to US$55,990.
