Thai King appears on TV for the first time in 40 years and it’s…awkward
For the first time in 40 years, we finally get the opportunity to see and hear Thailand’s controversial King Maha Vajiralongkorn speak.
The 68-year-old king made his first public appearance and comments during a royal function at the Grand Palace in Bangkok on November 1, 2020.
His extremely rare appearance comes as the Southeast Asian nation grapples with pro-democracy demonstrations that has engulfed Thailand since February 2020.
